I read this interesting article on Web Worker Daily about the nine best practices for working from home. I can identify with most of the nine points. As someone who works from home most of the time I find that I regularly work until late at night, just because my computer is so close. Its also difficult to switch off at weekends and I tend to find that all my time is spent working. The article also highlights the problem that friends and relatives often assume you not busy just because you are at home. Once again I find that some of friends tend to assume its ok to pop round in the afternoon and although it is nice to them it does usually mean I have work all evening to make up the lost time. Its clear to me from reading the article I still have to find the balance between my work and my personal life.
