We finally had a dry day this weekend which meant we could get to the allotment. The last of the potatoes have been dug out so it looks like we will be eating potatoes with everything this month. Planted in their place are the onions and garlic. We have done more onions than usual this year as we seemed to eat last year’s onion harvest very quickly and didn’t have enough to store. Hopefully next year we have plenty to see us through the winter as well. We still need to take down the runner beans and store the seeds for planting next year. Other jobs include the constant weeding and digging the rest of the plot which is a slow process but something that we need to start working on.
