I have a special place in my heart for Richmond Upon Thames as I spent a number of years working there in a job that I loved. I was made redundant from the job due to the company being taken over by a larger company but that’s another story. I do, however, still follow stories about the borough with interest. This one caught my eye because it claims people in Richmond upon Thames live on average more than 18 years longer than those in Manchester. I guess it’s not really that surprising when you think it’s one of the richest areas of the country. I love Richmond but I don’t think I could even afford a shed there, although Sevenoaks is pretty nice too.
