Everywhere I go at the moment I see mushrooms, it seems there is something of a glut this year. Not being a mushroom lover myself I am not tempted to pick them but even if I was a fan I don’t think I would be brave enough to rely on my scant knowledge. In my view mushroom foraging is best left to the experts and sometimes they even get it wrong and end up getting poisoned. I’m content just to look at the interesting varieties and leave them to grow in the garden.
