We are still picking beans by the bag full so it looks like we will have more than enough to freeze for the winter. I picked the first sweet corn from the allotment this weekend and will be eating them tonight with dinner. I didn’t plant much corn this year but the ones I did appear to have done quite well although the crop is a little late. We have also mowed the plot again to keep the grass under control. The long process of digging new beds will continue throughout the winter, weather permitting and hopefully by the beginning of next year we will have a lot of new beds ready for planting.
