We were recently lucky enough to have very cheap tickets for Lego Land so took our two children for the day. At aged 3 and 2 I must admit I was not really expecting there to be much for them to do, although having researched before hand I could see there was a number of age appropriate rides which raised my expectations.
On reaching Lego Land it was immediately apparent that the day was going to be filled mainly with queues, something my small children have little patience for. Every ride had a queue of at least 30 minutes, something that would work with older children but best avoided with the under 5’s. We headed for the adventure playgrounds which were very good and spent some time on a few of the rides aimed at very small children, a helicopter ride and a little train, plus the carousel. In all for the entire day we managed 3 rides, the adventure playgrounds and a buffet lunch which was included with the tickets we had.
The children really enjoyed themselves although were disappointed to see rides they couldn’t go on due to the queues. Personally I would not pay the exorbitant ticket price of more than £200 a family for this day out but for the £20 we spent on tickets it was a an ok day out. I would, however, have been disappointed to have paid the full price and only managed to go on 3 rides for my money. The concept of Lego Land is good but in practice it is overcrowded and overpriced, a better day out could be had elsewhere for half the money.
