I recently became a member of the Kent Wildlife Trust after seeing one of their stands outside the Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve on a recent visit. I was unaware of the organisation and what they do and was interested to see all of the projects they are involved in. They work with local communities, landowners and partners to protect habitats in the countryside. They manage more than 80 different sites across Kent, many of which are close to us, but we didn’t know existed. On signing up we received a branded bag, a magazine, 2 children’s activity packs and a handbook showing all of the locations to visit across Kent. We choose to donate £8 a month for which we will receive a magazine 3 times a year and a children’s magazine 4 times a year. I’m looking forward to working my way through the handbook and visiting a lot of new and interesting places.
