Time is at a premium in our household at the moment and finding any time to do anything other than look after the children is a real issue. Our weekends are now generally reserved for family time which is somewhat precious and something has to give somewhere. With this in mind we have decided to give up the allotment plot and concentrate on putting aside more of the garden at home to grow our vegetables. It has been proving difficult to work the allotment as we are not really able to let the children run around whilst we work. At home this should, hopefully be easier, although some issues such as the quality of the soil will need to be addressed.
