Say researchers, who have found that drinking a glass of water can make your brain 14% faster. The effect is particularly marked if a person as thirsty as the brain is more able to focus on other tasks once thirst is relived. An experiment was carried out on 34 men and women who completed a number of mental tests once after breakfast of a cereal bar and again after breakfast of a cereal bar and a bottle of water. None had eaten or drunk anything overnight and all were asked whether they were thirsty before starting the experiment. Those that were thirsty sped up after having a drink making them 14% quicker than before. I guess its easy to underestimate the benefits of good hydration.
