This is an interesting idea and although not a new one (I believe they are already on sale overseas) new to the UK market. It’s turning discarded deer antlers into dog chews. The antlers are taken from those that are naturally shed by the deer during the rutting season. Although quite a few people commenting on the article appear not to have read it and believe deer are killed for their antlers, it is in fact simply a way of using a product that would naturally be discarded. The product appears to be quite successful and is now on sale at Pets at Home stores.
