It’s very tempting when you have exercised to think, I can have a piece of chocolate cake now. A study has found that many people are deluded about how many calories they are burning off when they exercise and have a tendency to eat more because they have exercised. The study found that whilst more people are active in the US, it has not actually reduced the number of people who are considered overweight. Although people exercise with good intentions it seems they often underestimate how calories they are consuming and indulge in too many surgery or fatty snacks. I think exercise is important to maintain a good weight as well as for good circulation, but to actively lose weight you certainly need to look at what you eating as well and don’t delude yourself that exercise alone will be the solution.
