This is interesting it’s a study which suggests living near an airport could lead to increased risk of stroke, and heart disease. I find it particularly interesting because my last house, in Egham was directly under the flight path for the nearby Heathrow airport. We has planes going over our house every seven minutes from 6am in the morning to 10pm at night.
Whilst we were living there we simply became used to the noise but I don’t think I really realised how much it impacted on our daily lives until we moved. It really was impossible to relax with the constant noise and I have no doubt that it did make me feel much more stressed. I am glad that our current house has no aircraft noise at all and I really appreciate being able to sit in my garden and only hear the occasional hum of lawn mowers or children playing.
