With the horsemeat scandal being widely publicised it is interesting to see that some butchers and restaurants have been receiving requests for horse. A local (to me) restaurant in Knockholt has recently added a horsemeat burger to its menu and it appears to be going down well with the customers. Other butchers have also started stocking a small amount of horse meat after customers have requested it. Perhaps this will be a new market for the meat. I guess the point is not that everyone is adverse to eating horse, but people do want to know what they are eating.
