The courgettes just keep on coming both from the allotment and the garden. Luckily this glut coincides with weaning Russell and courgettes make great baby food when mixed with a little bit of carrot or apple. The apples and pears are now ready to harvest and have done really well this year. Once again there is far more than we can hope to eat so I think these might also be going into baby food. The other thing we are picking at the moment is runner beans. So far several carrier bags full have been processed and frozen, ensuring we have enough to last the year and they keep on coming. I’m hoping I will soon be able to harvest the sweetcorn and it will soon be time to put next years onions in the ground, we are never short of things to do.
