We use the Tabcat tracker to keep an eye on our new cats because quite frankly we don’t trust Panther. She is always getting into all of sorts of mischief and we worry about losing her. Having had a Tabcat tracker in the past, when I believe they were branded as the loc8ter device we…

Fitbits Don’t Work in the Cold Weather
I go running most days and currently use a Fitbit Charge 3 (soon to be upgraded, but that’s another post) to track my run, uploading my progress to Strava. Recently I have noticed that I often receive a battery charging error half-way through my run causing the Fitbit to fail and not track any data….
A Better Way to Spread
This is an interesting gadget, its a butter knife with small holes in it which makes butter easier to spread. The idea is that you can easily spread butter straight from the fridge using the knife which pushes the butter through the little holes. At £6.00 I would probably buy one, it looks useful.
Robot Cow Herder
This is an interesting idea, it’s a robot that herds cows. It has been tested by a team in Sydney where it was successfully used to move a herd of cows from a field to the dairy. It might even have advantages because the robot allows the cows to move at their own speed helping…
Hands Free Ironing Gadget
This is interesting it’s a gadget that irons clothes by forcing out the creases. The clothes are fitted over an inflatable bag which is filled with hot air. It claims to dry and iron a shirt in seven minutes but it does cost £850.
Hot Tub Bike Hybrid
This is unusual it’s a combination of a hot tub and exercise bike. It is claimed the device can burn over 600 calories per exercise session with users being able to burn 300 calories in 30 minutes. Personally I would rather run as it works better for me but this is an interesting idea.
Foldable Washing Machine
This is interesting it’s a foldable washing machine. The machine is able to wash up to five items of clothing at a time and can then be folded up and carried in a bag.
Egg Separating Device
This is interesting, called Yolkr, it’s a device that separates the yolk and the white of an egg. Costing £18 it works by sucking the egg yolk out in one piece leaving the white behind. I’m not sure I would use it enough to merit buying one but it’s a clever idea.
Power Shorts That Charge Your Phone
This is interesting it’s a pair of shorts that use kinetic energy to charge your phone. Aimed at festival goers the shorts use the kinetic energy created by the wearers movements to charge their phone whilst they are moving around. Not sure the shorts are quite me but I might be interested if these were…
