If you need an excuse to drink beer then this article might just provide one. Apparently just one pint of beer can boost heart health by improving the blood flow and making arteries more flexible.
The research which was carried out at Harokopio University in Athens found that one pint of beer was enough to improve the state of the major blood vessels around the heart. The arteries became more flexible and blood flow improved within a few hours of drinking two thirds of a pint of beer. Alcohol free beer did not appear to have the same effect. Dark beers such as stouts and ales were also shown to be better than lager. I’m convinced, I’m off to get some ale.
