This week we learnt that our allotment plot is one of 4 that is under threat of being turned into a car park. Sevenoaks council in their wisdom have decided they would like to tarmac 4 plots when the allotment lease comes up for renewal. Whether or not the decision will go though is not certain at the moment, but the council tend to get their way with planning applications so I don’t hold out much hope of the plots being saved. In the meantime I am reluctant to put in too much more work the plot, you do wonder if there is any point if it’s all going to be paved over. Already the hard work we have put into the plot looks likely to be wasted time. I wonder whether I should simply concentrate on my vegetable patch in the garden.
